Hi my name is Max Bock and I am looking to become a golf professional/teacher. I am hoping that these blogs will give future customers an idea of how I teach and some tips on making your golf game better.

This is a short video on how to exercise and stretch for golfing. TPI workout is a workout where a professional trainer examines you and your golf swing and creates a workout routine that will not only help your golf game but your health. The purpose for these workouts is to help strengthen your core muscles which helps stabilizes your golf swing. In this short video you will see Dr. Greg Rose work with Dave Phillips on a morning workout routine that was designed for Dave.

Working out for golf may sound funny at first but golf is a complex sport and every muscle is needed while playing. Thats why TPI workouts are helpful because they focus on the main muscles in the body that support the golf swing. The one thing that everyone needs while playing golf is balance. Balance is one of the most important things in a golf swing because if you have movement (with your legs) going on in your swing you are not going to have a consistent strike on the ball and one swing the ball will curve left and another the ball may curve right. A strong core and strong legs are key to a golf swing and without those two things you will struggle before you even start swinging a club.

  1. Hey Max, have you thought about how much you would charge for your lessons?

  2. So you're going to be a personal trainer of the golf world? You would only be training people on upper body stuff right?

  5. At my level I would charge around 30 for half and hour and 50 for an hour but once I get my PGA class A card the prices will go up. I do not plan on being a personal trainer but have been trained by a TPI trainer and have a good idea on what muscles to work on. Legs are one of the most important muscles in golf so no not just upper body.
